A lifelong resident of Middle Georgia, Craig was born and raised in Jones County. After receiving his Juris Doctor from the University of Georgia, Craig served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Ocmulgee Judicial Circuit from 1979 to 1982. He began working at Groover & Childs in 1982, and became a partner shortly thereafter. He has been with the firm, now Childs & Childs, for over 30 years.
Craig has been involved in numerous professional organizations including the Macon Bar Association, the family law section of the Georgia State Bar Association, the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the William Augustus Bootle American Inn of Court, and previously served as president of the Ocmulgee Bar Association. He has been named one of Georgia’s Legal Elite by Georgia Trend Magazine.
